6/4 - 6/8 AND 8/20 - 8/24: Inter-dimensional design

Shape and form is the foundation of design and our world - they are found all around us and inspire the things we make and the way we live. Join us for coming up with design ideas, brainstorming, sketching, turning those sketches into 3D models and then using 3D printing, graphic design, laser cutting and sewing to bring our designs to life. The week will finish with you creating your own 3D design and print. No previous experience required. Please pack a lunch, bring sunscreen, and dress appropriately for our midday break.

6/11 - 6/15: analog architecture

Use balsa wood, cardboard, and clay to create! This week's projects will focus on tactile designing with no computers. Join us for a fun week practicing how to create using basic materials, and learn how this tactility will open up the opportunities that everyday materials gives designers. Computers are a crucial design tool, but don't underestimate the creativity that comes with starting out in real materials!  No previous experience required. Please pack a lunch, bring sunscreen, and dress appropriately for our midday break.

6/18 - 6/22: Digi-mode game design

Athleisure wear, board games, arcade games, video games! This session is all things game-related, such as 3D printing your own pieces to existing board games, coding your own game, and sewing your own athleisure wear for your next sports game. We will take you through the design process, including inspiration, ideation, sketching, paper prototyping, 3D modeling, and 3D printing. The week will complete with you bringing home new game pieces! No previous experience required. Please pack a lunch, bring sunscreen, and dress appropriately for our midday break.

6/25 - 6/29 and 8/13 - 8/17: electric creations

Discover conductivity in a week of design! This session we will use materials such as conductive thread and conductive ink to design responsive environments, as well as an introduction to circuitry and coding. This feeds into wearable technology in the last part of the week, culminating in your own projects that you can take home. No previous experience necessary. Please pack a lunch, bring sunscren, and dress appropriately for our midday break.
